QA Engineer

aPriori provides discrete manufacturers and product innovation companies with the most technologically advanced and comprehensive product cost management software available on the market today.  We are looking for a QA engineer who will be responsible for testing our cloud apps. This person will perform both manual test cases and help write/maintain automated tests for the application under test.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and report application defects (e.g. detail steps to reproduce expected and actual results) and assist with resolution (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc…)
  • Write and execute test cases in TestRail and document results
  • Verify that corrective actions meet quality objectives
  • View log files, understand them and assist developer in finding root-cause of the bug
  • Interact with development and product management to define testing scope
  • Work on UI automating regression testing as needed using Selenium WebDriver, API testing as needed

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or technical field
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming languages (Java, C#, Python, etc.)
  • Experience developing and executing manual tests, writing test cases, documenting test results
  • Experience in Test Automation (Selenium 2 preferred) on multiple browsers
  • Experience testing in an Agile SCRUM environment
  • Experience with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design and execution
  • Working knowledge of SDLC and the following QA methods: unit, integration, functional regression and system testing
  • Self-starter able to quickly learn new applications, tools, and technology, and become a product expert
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication & presentation skills
  • Attention to detail, outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to become subject-matter expert for a product or on-going project
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment and maintain a professional attitude with team members
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
