Summary of Required Procedures

To understand the different types of aPriori releases and the options that you have for installing them, read the rest of this chapter. If you prefer to install without first reviewing all the options, refer to the table:

Release 2019 R2 (19.2.x.x) is a MAJOR release:

Upgrade from aPriori 2019 R1 (19.1.x.x) including SP1 (19.1.1.x) or SP2 (19.1.2.x) or their hot fixes, to 2019 R2 (19.2.x.x) or its hot fixes AND retain your database system.	3. Update Installations	All NOTE: You must perform the updateDB.cmd database upgrade procedures in this chapter.
Update from aPriori 2019 R1 including SP1 or SP2 or their hot fixes AND change your database system (for example, changing from MySQL to SQL Server).	3. For Future 19.2 maintenance releases: Upgrade from aPriori 2019 R2 to a 2019 R2 Service Pack or Hot Fix	3. Update Installations	IF APPLICABLE PER SUPPORT: You must perform the patchDB<vers>.cmd database patch upgrade procedure in this chapter.
