The Validation and Design to Cost tabs are intended for design engineers using the following process groups:

(But note that a basic Validation tab is available for other process groups—see Prerequisites.) These tabs provide centralized information, functionality, and context-sensitive guidance to help you validate/modify assumptions made by aPriori, and then evaluate and address design details.

This is a self-documenting area of the UI: aPriori has brought together information and functionality from across the product and consolidated it with detailed in-UI explanations and suggestions intended to guide the design engineer in identifying and evaluating common areas for cost savings, and providing recommendations to make improvements in either aPriori or the CAD model.

This section walks you through the basic steps of how to use the Validation and Design to Cost tabs for Stock Machining. The same basic approach will be applicable to other Process Groups.
