Working with official scenarios
One scenario for each component must be the official scenario. The official scenario is simply the scenario which will roll-up into an assembly or roll-up by default, if you have not specified any other scenario.
For snapshots, roll-ups, comparisons, or analyses, the initial scenario is always the official scenario.
In versions of aPriori before 2014 R1, the official scenario also controlled whether a CAD-connected component could automatically be updated whenever its CAD file changed, but this is now controlled by a separate active/inactive setting.
When you open a component, the official scenario for the component opens by default. To open a different scenario, you can specify it from a list of the component scenarios, or by specifying it on the Open CAD File dialog. For more information, see Opening a component in aPriori on page 1.
To make a part or assembly scenario the official scenario
Do one of the following:
In the Navigation pane, right-click a part or assembly scenario and select Make Official to make it the official scenario.
Select Scenario > Make Official from the aPriori menu bar to make the current component scenario the official scenario.
