On September 28, Mr. Paul Breon of The Boeing Company will be speaking at the Global Product Data Interoperability Summit (GPDIS) in Phoenix, Arizona on Sept 28, 2016. Mr. Breon is the founder of CLOC coding. CLOC (Class List of Characteristics) coding is a way to identify a part assembly or activity by its attributes and therefore its cost drivers. This system makes it possible to implement a standard manufacturing and costing language that bridges traditional barriers across functional organizations within a large, distributed product development corporation.
As part of the presentation, Mr. Breon will be describing how automated product costing software from aPriori has made it significantly more feasible to implement CLOC coding in a production environment due to the software’s capability to quickly and easily extract geometric features which map to specific CLOC codes.
