Select Components

In the Select Components window, the Setup Wizard allows you to select which components are installed and to use an advanced installation mode. You can expand each component category node to select or deselect individual components for installation.
Although you cannot opt out of the aPriori Client installation, you can choose whether to install components from these three categories:
Direct CAD Integrations – Select this option if you plan to use aPriori as a Creo® toolkit application.
The direct CAD integrations component is Creo & Pro/ENGINEER
aPriori Cost Connectors – Select the cost connector CAD format that matches the types of files that you intend to cost. If you do not intend to use aPriori as a toolkit application, always select the option for STEP/IGES in addition to the proprietary CAD system you use.
The aPriori cost connector components are:
Creo & Pro/ENGINEER
CATIA V5
Unigraphics NX
SolidWorks
Parasolids
Autodesk Inventor
STEP/IGES
Solid Edge
JT
Required Libraries – aPriori Professional functions properly only if all the components in the required libraries folder are installed. If you want to decrease installation time, you can check to see if any of the components are already installed and then clear the check boxes for those components. However, it typically takes more time to determine if you have a component already installed than it does to have the aPriori Professional installer reinstall the component.
The required library components are:
Microsoft VC++ 2010 Runtime
Microsoft VC++ 2012 Runtime
Microsoft VC++ 2013 Runtime
Microsoft VC++ 2015 Runtime
Dassault VC10 Prerequisites
Dassault VC11 Prerequisites
If you are unsure about what to install, select all the components. Installing all the components requires additional installation time and disk space, but it ensures that everything that is required for aPriori to function properly is installed.
The Setup Wizard calculates and displays how much disk space is required for the installation of all the components. It also displays how much free space there is on the disk that contains the installation directory.
To specify aPriori and Bulk Costing properties later in the installation, select the Use advanced installation mode check box.
After you make your choices for the component and advanced mode installation options, to continue the installation, click Next.
