1 On the migration computer, create a new folder in which to save the migration export data. Do so on a drive which has at least the same amount of space as the database. For example, D:\migration_export_data\

2 Go back to the main aPriori window. From the Tools menu, select Migration > Export Migration Data.

3 aPriori displays a list of all your schemas. Select all the schemas you want to export for migration. Typically, you only migrate the production schemas and do not migrate test or training schemas.

4 Save the export file to the folder that you created earlier. The amount of time it takes to export the data depends on the size of the database, the speed of the connection to the database, and the hardware of the computer. It could take as little as 30 minutes and as long as several hours. Once it is finished, aPriori information for all schemas selected are saved to disk in a version neutral format.

5 The export is now complete. Close the aPriori client.
