Installing the aPriori Professional Client
Before You Begin
Before you begin installing aPriori Professional:
Install all the prerequisite software. For more information, see Installing Prerequisite Software.
Create the aPriori database. Make sure that each client machine has access to the aPriori database.
Have ready the information that you need to enter during the installation:
Installation directory. By default, aPriori is installed to C:\aPriori.
Components that need to be installed
Document cache location
Host name, port number, schema name, username, and password for the aPriori database. In addition, if aPriori is using an Oracle database, you need to know either the SID or the Service Name. If the database is SQL Server, determine whether you use SQL Server or Windows authentication.
For Direct Integration mode only, the CAD application startup directory where your local Creo config.pro file is located.
Any aPriori properties or Bulk Costing properties that you want to set.
Installation type. The type of installation–whether the installation is a fresh install, or an upgrade or “hot fix” to an existing installation–determines whether you need to tell the Wizard how to back up existing files.
