For each mold type, aPriori uses a Material Conversion process to model the costs of sheet extrusion for the sheet size and run appropriate to the mold and production volume; a Drape or Vacuum Thermoforming process to model creating the component; and a Router process to model costs of secondary features, such as holes or slots, and to model trimming costs.
