By default, the Hammer process assumes that Upsetting, Blocking (roughing), and Finishing hits all are performed and computes the number of hits of each type required to manufacture the part. However, this information can be overridden by you (see Forging process setup on page 468). Hammer tooling cost estimates include the costs of upsetting die cavities (if enabled), blocking die cavities (if enabled), and finishing die cavities.
