The maximum recommended hole depth for a given diameter is looked up by diameter, material type, and process in the lookup table tblMaxHoleDepth.

If the depth of some hole is greater than the relevant maximum, or if the lookup cannot be performed because the diameter is out of range for the lookup table, a corresponding Hole Issue is listed under Casting Issues.
