Assembly tracker
The Assembly Tracker tab graphically displays a summary of cost information for an assembly, using pie charts, bar charts, and gauges. The Assembly Tracker charts include:
Summary of Assembly Costs - a pie chart that breaks down total assembly costs into assembly process costs (the costs of assembly subcomponents) and the costs of manufacturing those subcomponents themselves.
Summary of Component Costs - a pie chart that decomposes the cost of the subcomponents into constituent costs (Material Cost and Labor & Direct Overhead costs)
Status of Component Costs - a bar chart that displays the percentage of subcomponents that have been costed (useful for identifying if any subcomponents were not previously costed and therefore appropriate costs are not rolling up into the assembly costs).
Type of Costs - a bar chart that displays the percentage of subcomponents with a given type of cost (as specified in the Administrative Info tab of the Cost Object window for the subcomponent)
Manufacturing Locations (VPE) - a bar chart that displays the various VPEs used in costing the assembly process and the assembly subcomponents, and the percentage of subcomponents costed at each VPE.
Comparison of Alternatives - a bar chart that compares the Current assembly cost to the Previous cost and the Last Saved cost, and breaks down each cost into some significant component costs (Material, Labor & Direct Overhead, Amortized Batch Setup)
Finish Mass Target Analysis - a gauge which compares the actual finish mass of the assembly and its subcomponents to the mass targets specified and computes the variance.
Cost Target Analysis - a gauge which compares the actual cost of the assembly and its subcomponents to the cost targets specified and computes the variance.
