The Part Summary tab pulls together key cost information from across the aPriori user interface and summarizes it in a single view. Some displayed values are extracted from other areas of aPriori like the Part Details tab, while others are calculated on the fly by the Part Summary tab to make the information easier to understand. The Part Summary tab displays information that focuses on material, geometry and high-level production information.

The fields in the Part Summary are not editable or overridable like they are in the Part Details tab. The Part Summary tab is displayed only for parts, not for assemblies.

Examine the different panes to quickly identify areas of cost that exceed targets and expectations, and which could be targeted for cost reduction at the design level.

The following sections show where the Part Summary extracts its values. You can go to these more detailed sections of the UI to drill down for more information when necessary.
