A note about Fully Burdened Cost
aPriori provides a plant variable named "disableInvestmentAmortization", which enables you to control whether Amortized Tooling and other Investment Costs are included in the Fully Burdened Cost of a component, to correspond with your organization's cost accounting practices. At some sites, accounting practices are such that tooling and other capital costs are attributed to a separate budget and are not considered part of the component’s Fully Burdened Cost, nor should they affect the determination of the lowest cost routing. By default, this plant variable is set to FALSE and tooling/investment costs are included in Fully Burdened Cost. Note that if you want to enable this setting, you must set it to TRUE for each VPE and process group where these accounting practices apply, including those for secondary processes.
