"Not Supported" GCD Messages
If aPriori encounters a GCD that it does not support, it lists the problem GCD in the "Not Supported" list along with a brief cause, and also highlights the GCD (if possible) in the viewer.
Here is summary of the "Cause" messages and what they mean:
NON_MANIFOLD_EDGES: An edge is attached to 3 or more surfaces, indicating impossible solid geometry to manufacture.

SURFACE_GEOMETRY: The model contains only surface geometry, no solid body.

DIFFERENT_THICKNESS: Geometry has different thickness than the rest of the part, which is not supported in Sheet Metal.

DISCONNECTED_SURFACES: The CAD file contains surfaces without edges likely due to a CAD modeling or translation error. This issue is not visible in the viewer.

VOID_GEOMETRY_NON_MANUFACTURABLE: Void “bubble”: the void has no openings to the outside. Void bubbles cannot be manufactured in some Process Groups such as Casting or Machining. They can be manufactured in other Process Groups such as Rotational and Blow Molding, or Bar & Tube Fabrication.

DETACHED_SOLID: Multiple bodies exist in the model. Only the largest body is used, and the remainder are ignored. This is a result of “free body” processing mode. (See Costing multi-body parts on page 1 for more information.)

TESSELLATION_VOID: Tessellation/translation error: the tessellation (the 3D image displayed in the viewer) contains a void that does not exist in the BREP (the CAD model).

TESSELLATION_BUBBLE: Similar to above, but there is an extra solid body formed by the tessellation that does not exist in the BREP.

UNRECOGNIZED_FEATURE: aPriori cannot process the GCD. This can be due to many different reasons, differing by process group. For example, in Bar & Tube Fabrication, a feature might be considered “unrecognized” because it requires volumetric machining rather than the processes available in Bar & Tube. Or it might be unrecognized if the end of a tube is modeled as a solid bar instead of a tube.

UNKNOWN: The migrated part had GCDs extracted prior to aP 2014 R2. If you have access to the CAD file, please open it in aPriori and recost the component to reextract GCDs in the current version of aPriori.
