Creating a custom routing
To create or edit a custom routing
1 In the Manufacturing Process panel, click on the Edit menu and select Routing Selection… The Routing Selection editor window will appear.
2 Select Customize Routing… from the Edit menu. A panel will appear on the left side of the Routing Selection window, which lists processes available to insert into the routing. Processes are grouped by process group.
3 If necessary, create one or more custom processes to use in your routing. See Creating a custom process on page 1.
4 For each process you are interested in adding to your routing, click on the process in the list of available processes, hold down the left mouse key, and drag the process from the panel onto the routing. As you do so, the User Interface will dynamically display arrows indicating where the process will be inserted if you release the mouse button. Drag the process to the desired position and release the left mouse key.
If you wish to insert the process in a different location, you can simply drag-and-drop it to the new location.
To remove the process from the routing, right-click on the node and select Remove from the popup menu.
5 If you wish to exclude any processes that are already in the routing, you can right-click on the node and select Exclude from the popup menu.
6 Depending on how you have customized your routing, it also may be necessary to customize the operation sequence for one or more GCDs. For more information, see Creating a custom operation sequence on page 1.
7 Depending on how you have customized your routing, you also may need to manually assign operations on specific GCDs to different processes. See Assigning operations to different processes on page 1 for more information.
