Component scenario tabs
In aPriori Desktop, every component scenario is displayed in a separate tab. (For information about scenarios, see Working with scenarios on page 1.) To switch from one scenario to another, click on the corresponding tab.
Note In Direct Integration mode, you can also switch to a specific MCAD component scenario by activating that component in the CAD tool.
An asterisk next to the component name on the tab label indicates that the scenario has been edited but not saved since the last time it was retrieved from the database. If no asterisk is shown, all edits have been saved.
A part or an assembly scenario tab includes the following:
Component Viewer
Cost Outputs
Manufacturing Process
Geometric Cost Drivers
For a part, the Cost Outputs section includes tabs for Part Summary, Design to Cost, Cost Summary, Part Details, and Investment, which are discuss in Chapter 9, aPriori Cost Tables. Assemblies do not have a Cost Summary tab, and have an Assembly Details tab instead of a Part Details tab.
To change the component scenario tab layout
1 Select View > Change Layout.
2 Select one of the five available layouts.
3 To make the selected layout the default choice for part or assembly, select: View > Use as Part Default Layout or View > Use as Assembly Default Layout.
