Selecting a language for the aPriori interface
The aPriori interface can be displayed in English, German, or (in SP1 and later) French. English is used unless your Microsoft Windows locale is set to Germany or France. You can set the Windows locale for your machine, or just for aPriori.
Note There are some minor limitations when using the foreign-language versions of aPriori. Certain items are not translated, including the names of specific VPE items, such as materials and machines, Excel report column headings, and certain costing error windows and messages. You can obtain a complete list of these items from aPriori Support. If your company is interested in making aPriori available in other languages, please contact aPriori Support.
To set the Microsoft Windows locale for your machine
1 Select Control Panel from the Windows Start menu.
2 Click Clock, Language, and Region.
3 Click Change location under Region and Language to display the Location tab of the Region and Language window.
4 Select Germany or France (SP1 and later) from the Current location drop-down list and click OK.
All applications on your machine will use the specified locale.
To set the Microsoft Windows locale for aPriori only
1 Open the apriori.properties file in your local aPriori installation directory.
2 Add one of the following lines to the file.
To display aPriori in German, add
apriori.display.locale=de_DE
To display aPriori in French (SP1 and later), add
apriori.display.locale=fr_FR
To return the display of aPriori to English, remove the line above, or edit it to:
apriori.display.locale=en_US
