Navigation pane
In addition to the default areas described above, you can also optionally display a floating Navigation pane, which provides two tabs: Component and Open Items.
The Component tab displays information related to the component in the current component scenario tab. It contains the following folders:
• Scenarios – Lists all scenarios associated with the current component. For more information, see Working with scenarios on page 1.
• Where Used – Lists all other components in which the current component is used. For example, a part may be included in an assembly, an analysis, a comparison, and a roll-up.
The Open Items tab lists all components currently open in aPriori Desktop, providing a quick mechanism for viewing and navigating across these components. The Open Items tab contains the following folders:
• Assemblies – Lists all open assemblies.
• Parts – Lists all open parts.
• Roll-ups – Lists all open Roll-ups.
• Comparisons – Lists all open Comparisons.
• Analyses – Lists all open Analyses.
Roll-ups and comparisons support drag and drop functionality. You can drag and drop components from the navigation pane to the active roll-up or comparison.
To expand a folder in the navigation pane
Click the

Double-click the component or right-click the component and select Open.
All components in the navigation pane provide right mouse button support. The options available on the right-mouse menu vary based on the type of the component.
