Strategic Value Assessments
During the system evaluation process, most companies ask themselves the following questions:
- Does aPriori really work?
- Will it work with my parts?
- Will it work in my environment?
- Can my own people use this product effectively?
aPriori understands that committing to a new software technology requires a large commitment of your personnel’s time, and your company’s financial resources. So, to ensure that you are making a wise investment, aPriori helps you answer the questions above by coming on-site, and letting your own people use the software, on their own live project data. The objective is to make absolutely sure that your answer to each of the questions above is a resounding “Yes”.
aPriori offers two different types of tests that will allow you to conduct a Strategic Value Assessment (SVA) of our Product Cost Management software for your organization. Both tests accomplish the exact same objective, but have been developed to suit the needs of different types of companies.
The 2 Day Value Analysis / Value Engineering Test
The VA/VE Test is a No Charge service engagement where an aPriori Engineer comes on site to spend 2 full days evaluating how well aPriori can cost a sample of your company’s part models. This approach is highly effective for the vast majority of companies that wish to ensure aPriori will be effective in helping them reduce their product costs. Interestingly enough, in two day’s time, aPriori often discovers enough cost savings on a handful of parts to fund the entire purchase and deployment of the technology.
The 1 Week aPriori SVA
The aPriori SVA program is paid proof-of-concept service engagement to confirm the value of the aPriori Product Cost Management platform prior to a larger-scale deployment.
The One Week aSVA applies aPriori’s technology to an organization’s own people, parts and facilities to find real savings in product costs. With this longer-term test program, the average customer experiences anywhere from 4 to 8 times annualized return on investment, and helps to build a strong business case for a production deployment of the technology.
In a recent aSVA, an aPriori customer evaluated design scenarios for 18 of its parts over four days and identified $987,500 in savings.
