Sheetmetal Fabrication Group

The aPriori Product Cost Management platform provides a comprehensive selection of sheetmetal fabrication processes for generating cost estimates that are organized into four higher level Process Groups, including:  Sheetmetal, Bar & Tube, Stage Tooling and Assembly Welding.

aPriori's Professional Services team can also extend each of the standard manufacturing processes shipped with the baseline VPEs to include an even wider range of manufacturing processes such as Flame Cut Beveling, Roll Forming, Progressive Die and Deep Draw operations.

VPE Development Group

With the introduction of the aPriori VPE Creation Toolkit in version 6, aPriori provided customers with the capability to make copies of Baseline VPEs and Customer-Specific VPEs, and then modify those copies to create alternative views of manufacturing scenarios.  Many customers have taken advantage of this new feature, and started building out libraries of custom VPEs to answer all kinds of What-If costing scenarios.  If you have a question you would like to pose to the community of VPE developers, please enter our VPE Development Group below.

Deployment Strategies Group

One of the most challenging aspects of aPriori for many customers is "How do I get Started?"  Choosing the right first project is an important first step to driving a sufficient ROI from aPriori to justify deploying the tool on a more wide scale basis.  Which brings up even more questions:  "My first pilot project was a great success, but I have 200 engineers I want using this product, and I'd like to get my supply chain folks on board, how do I do that?"  "How do I track success?"  For answers to these questions, turn to other aPriori customers who have learned and developed there own best practices for advice.
